Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1,5-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); endnotes rather than footnotes and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines below.
  • There is no publication fee.

Article length:          5000 - 8000 words (NOT including abstract, author information, bibliography)

Font                            Times New Roman, normal, 12 points

Spacing                       1,5

 

Abstract:                   200 words max, 12 points, italics, single spacing.

Headings:                  All headings left justified, 12 points, bold

References:              

In parentheses, including - the year of publication followed by a comma, a space, and the page referred to:

McHale (2000, p. 25) assumes that...

 

or, if a publication as a whole is referred to: author’s name, space, year of publication:

(McHale 2000)

 

Quotations:               in the text, with quotation marks, 12 points, normal: “…………….” (McHale, 2000, p. 75)

Endnotes:                  after the text, 11 points, upper index numbers, spacing 1

Works cited:              After endnotes, 12 points, spacing 1.5, in the following format:

To ensure blind review, the initial submission document should exclude all author identification information (name, affiliation, ORCID)!

This information is filled into the submission/registration form and will be added to the text of your article only in the final pre-publication phase of the editing process, if your article is accepted for publication.

 

Revision guidelines

Once you receive the reviewers’ feedback from us, when editing your article, turn on the TRACK CHANGES function in the REVISION section in your Word editor, so that all changes you make are clearly identifiable.

Return your revised article within 2 months of receiving the reviewers’ feedback.

Your article will then undergo a second round of reviews and if it is approved for publication, you will be asked to provide a clear version of your article (without the changes highlighted) that would follow the style sheet above.

Return this final version of your article within 2 weeks of receiving the approval for publication.
